He Said/She Said – An Owner’s Perspective

We asked Owners in our Private Residence Club what they love about having a second home here. We found that husbands and wives have different perspectives, but they equally value the ease of ownership and special time that they spend with their family at their mountain home. This is what the Jackson Family had to say:

Whose idea was it to buy at Timbers Bachelor Gulch?

He Said: We both made the decision after a vacation in the area with our kids. We discovered it was a perfect for our family and we’ve never regretted our decision!

She Said: My husband’s! He liked the fact that you just show up and everything is ready! I was sold on the twice a day housekeeping and the game room for our kids.

Did you consider other real estate options in the area?

He Said: Yes, but this was the best fit for us as we only have three weeks of vacation time to spend together as a family. Now we own real estate without the hassle of full time vacation home. Once you see the facilities, you will know why we chose to own with the Timbers family.

She Said: We looked at several options but Timbers made it so easy! We own a vacation home but also have the services and amenities of a luxury hotel. Not to mention the friends and staff we’ve come to know and love. I also love not needing a car and the ski in/ski out location so we can ski longer but also come home for lunch. Of course having the Ritz Carlton next door is great too – whether for excellent food and lively social scene at Spago or the Spa for a day of pampering!

What is something that you can get at Timbers Bachelor Gulch that you can’t get anywhere else?

He Said: Home ownership accompanied by a friendly helpful staff.

She Said: The level of service that comes with a staff like this is second to none. They know us and our kids and are always happy to help – whether it’s a bellman bringing up groceries, the concierge getting us that last minute reservation, an engineer helping our son build a telescoping “selfie stick” for his GoPro, or just helping us put on our ski boots.

We’ve also made many friends that we look forward to spending time with when we are there, especially at the social gatherings hosted by Timbers Bachelor Gulch. Our kids even keep in touch with their “Colorado friends” throughout the year. We all like to spend time together listening to music around the fire-pit and of course making S’mores!

How is the time you spend at Timbers Bachelor Gulch different than at home?  

He Said: We feel as comfortable as we do at home, while also having the enjoyment of being on vacation.

She Said: Well, we are on vacation!  No hassles, no worries, no work, and a myriad of luxury creature comforts! We get to experience all that the Vail Valley and Beaver Creek Resort have to offer all from the comfort of our “home away from home”.
